HR Generalist / HR Manager
Responsibilities
- This role functions as a HR business partner and oversees the entire HR function for both Indonesia and Malaysia. The incumbent will report into the HR Director, SEA and will closely with the Country General Manager as well as other function heads / business leaders.
Your key job responsibilities will include:
- Manage and support HR issues that directly impact on staff or business performance/strategy
- Responsible for performing a wide variety of activities, such as providing support in areas including talent acquisition and talent development; leadership development; employee communications; course facilitation; performance management; employee reward and recognition; employee benefits and compensation.
- Work collaboratively with the organization in understanding the business strategies, goals, objectives and key performance measures of the organization. The incumbent will use this knowledge and understanding to align and drive key HR strategies/initiatives and will provide day to day delivery of both tactical and strategic HR services and coaching responsive to the needs of the organization.
- The incumbent works with all levels of the organization on their specific needs, issues and requests. Additionally, the incumbent assists in the development and administration of policies; leads change and helps promote deeper HR involvement in the business.
- Requires good understanding of Indonesia and Malaysia regulations and compliance procedures
- Provide support to SEA HR team to deliver company-wide initiatives such as goal setting, year-end performance review, talent planning, employee surveys, etc
Minimum Experience
- The individual we seek must have talent acquisition and business partnering experience with MNCs preferred. This incumbent will also have the insight and proven, in-depth experience gained as an actively contributing member of an HR management team in a respected, multi-location, and people-focused organization.
Competencies
The individual should have:
- Well-developed teambuilding and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence to effectively address HR and business issues and concerns
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech, and highly matrix organization
- Previous experience working with technology professionals preferred
- Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to be approachable, personable, likeable, positive and accessible.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent required
- 8 - 12 years of progressive staffing and HR experience in a complex high growth environment.
- Demonstrated competence in the various HR functional areas like employee relations, consulting/coaching an added advantage
- A solid understanding of HR best practice and local employment legislation
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, but flag up issues promptly
- Must be comfortable working with multiple internal stakeholders at a senior level and thrive in highly matrix environment
